Hamilton quickest on day one of F1 testing

Lewis Hamilton made an encouraging start to testing by setting the pace at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya in his new W08 on Monday.

The three-time Formula One world champion’s quickest lap was a second faster than he managed in pre-season testing in Spain last year, with Sebastian Vettel second-fastest.

Lewis Hamilton believes new Formula 1 cars will be a ‘massive challenge’

Lewis Hamilton says he believes the new faster Formula 1 cars this year will be a “massive challenge”.

The Mercedes driver said he had trained hard but had no idea whether he was fit enough for cars which could be four seconds a lap faster than 2016.
